Welcome to Community Futures Centre West.
We offer a wide range of services to entrepreneurs, not-for-profit organizations and communities in the Community Futures Centre West region.
Our services include:
- Business counseling
- Business loans and business development programs to kick start or expand your enterprise
- Self-employment programs
- Community economic development – helping communities find local solutions to complex social and economic issues.
- Specialized programs for young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs with disabilities.
- Ongoing events such as a rural women’s speakers’ series, the Southern Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship camp and training seminars.
- A wide range of business development tools and resources.
Funded by Western Economic Diversification, Community Futures Centre West is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Board Directors have diverse skills and backgrounds and are made up of community champions and professionals from within the communities they live. Board Directors are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization and act as a resource for the staff.

Community Futures Centre West's mandate is to assist rural communities to expand their local economy by using innovative approaches to business and community development. Community Futures Centre West provides access to resources and financial assistance. We provide core services such as fostering strategic community planning, socio-economic development, building community networks via partnering and developing community economic development projects with business, economic, social and environmental organizations.
